Experience a slice of early Otago history by visiting the Lawrence township where gold was first found in New Zealand in 1861 by Thomas Gabriel Read. Discover the Lawrence township and goldfield history where we can guide you through the past. Immerse yourself in the thriving arts community and sample some of the local craftwork, or take a moment to enjoy a coffee in a local cafe.

Just down the road is the mighty Mata-Au (the Clutha River) New Zealand's largest volume river. Join Dave to ride down the rapids of Beaumont Gorge; an exhilarating 20 minute jet boat ride with wave chains, whirlpools and stunning scenery. On the return trip, get ready for the legendary 360 degree spins! You'll be amazed by the handling ability of this great New Zealand icon, the Hamilton Jet.

Lunch can be arranged after the boat trip on request. On the return trip to Dunedin city sit back and enjoy the beautiful Otago landscape.

Each trip takes approximately 8 hours return, 8:30am-4:30pm depending on size of group. Warm clothing is required. Advance booking essential. Children must be over 5 years old. We can take from min of 2 passengers in a limo and a minimum of 6 passengers in a coach.

This trip is a must if you want to explore the wild part of the New Zealand coast. We take you from rolling farmland to a scenic rugged rock coast, featuring numerous picturesque bays with tumbling waterfalls and stunning views from the lighthouse which is part of a scenic reserve. This is a place teeming with marine mammals and birdlife. Cathedral Caves and Curio Bay are known for their scenic beauty and are an essential destination on any visit to this part of the country.

A day trip takes 8 to 10 hours and we can take as few or many people as you like, we can do longer tours to suit.
